Visit at Kinabalu National Park


Kinabalu Park is one of the most attractions place in Sabah. It was established in 1964. Given name as Malaysia's first World Heritage Site in December 2000 by UNESCO as it one of the most important biological sites in the world, Kinabalu Park approximately cover an area about 754 square kilometers. Within this area is found some of the richest flora in the world, ranging from lowland dipterocarp forest to the montane oak, rhododendron, and conifer forests of the middle altitudes and eventually to the alpine meadows and stunted, windswept bushes of the summit.

Besides to see its botanical garden with its nature of flora and fauna, the Mount Kinabalu is one of the reason why many visitors come to visit Kinabalu Park. With its peak at 4,101 meters, Mount Kinabalu is the highest mountain in South-East Asia.

Kinabalu Park is about ninety kilometers from Kota Kinabalu. The journey takes about two hours by road. Mini buses depart daily from Kota Kinabalu to Ranau, and stop at Kinabalu Park along the way.
